IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) sets out the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the products (“Products”) listed on our website www.static-shield.com. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. We recommend printing a copy for future reference.

1. INFORMATION ABOUT US

2. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

2.1. We accept orders from customers in Ireland, the EU, the UK, and other international destinations, unless restricted by shipping or customs regulations.

3. CUSTOMER STATUS

By placing an order, you confirm that:

3.1.1. You are legally capable of entering binding contracts.

3.1.2. You are at least 18 years old.

3.1.3. You are resident in a country to which we offer delivery.

4. FORMATION OF CONTRACT

4.1. When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt. This does not mean your order has been accepted.

4.2. A contract (“Contract”) is formed only when we send you a Dispatch Confirmation email.

4.3. We do not process orders until full payment is received.

4.4. Mistakes in orders may be corrected prior to dispatch by contacting us. After dispatch, changes fall under our Returns Policy.

4.5. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.

4.6. When submitting an order, you confirm all details provided are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

5. CONSUMER RIGHTS (IRL & EU)

5.1. If you are purchasing as a consumer (not a business), you have a 14-day right to cancel under EU/Irish Distance Selling legislation, beginning the day after you receive the Products. 

5.2. This does not apply to:

  • customised or made-to-order products,
  • products manufactured to customer specifications,
  • opened sealed items for hygiene or contamination-control reasons (e.g., ESD packaging).

Refunds are issued in accordance with our Returns Policy.

6. AVAILABILITY & DELIVERY

6.1. Delivery dates will be stated in the Dispatch Confirmation.

6.2. If no date is given, delivery will occur within 30 days, unless delayed by circumstances outside our control.

7. PRICE & PAYMENT

7.1. Prices on the website are shown in Euro (€) and include Irish VAT, unless otherwise stated.

7.2. Delivery charges are shown separately and must be paid in advance.

7.3. Orders are not accepted until payment is received in cleared funds.

7.4. Prices may change at any time but will not affect already-accepted orders.

7.5. If a product is incorrectly priced, we may cancel your order or contact you for instructions.

7.6. We are not obligated to supply a product at an obviously incorrect price.

7.7. We accept payment by the methods listed on the website (including credit/debit card and PayPal).

7.8. Only one promotional code may be used per order.

8. RETURNS POLICY

8.1. We do not provide refunds or replacements where the customer:

  • ordered the incorrect product,
  • provided incorrect delivery information, or
  • purchased items incompatible with their intended use.

8.2. Consumers retain statutory rights under Irish/EU law for defective goods.

9. OUR LIABILITY

9.1. If Products delivered are damaged, defective, incorrect, or not delivered, we will, at our discretion:

9.1.1. remedy any shortfall or error;

9.1.2. replace defective/damaged Products; or

9.1.3. refund the price paid.

9.2. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including:

  • lost profits,
  • business interruption,
  • loss of goodwill,
  • loss of data,
  • loss arising from misuse or improper storage of packaging.

9.3. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the Products.

9.4. We do not exclude liability where prohibited by law, including for personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.

9.5. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Irish law.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All intellectual property related to the Products, brand, designs, and website content is owned by Static Shield.

11. COMMUNICATIONS

By using our site, you agree to receive communications electronically where legally permitted.  This may include email, website notices, or digital records.

12. NOTICES

Notices must be sent to support@static-shield.com.

We may contact you via the email or postal address provided with your order.

13. TRANSFER OF RIGHTS

13.1. Contracts bind both parties and their permitted successors.

13.2. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent.

13.3. We may assign or subcontract our rights and obligations at any time.

14. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL (FORCE MAJEURE)

Includes events such as strikes, natural disasters, transport failures, pandemics, and government restrictions.

Performance is suspended during such events.

15. WAIVER

Failure to enforce rights does not waive them. Waivers must be in writing.

16. SEVERABILITY

If any clause is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms will remain valid.

17. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the full agreement and supersede any prior representations or agreements.

18. VARIATION OF TERMS

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Orders will be governed by the Terms in force at the time of purchase unless a legal requirement mandates otherwise.

19. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
